About Me

I am professor for development of media systems at h_da, University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany. I work in the Faculty of Media in the department Media Arts and Sciences. My major fields of teaching are interactive media and computer games.

I am principal investigator (PI) of three LOEWE projects and consortium leader of one of them (Multimediale Exponateplattform). In that function I supervise two PhD students.

In 2010, I served in the Board of Trustees (Kuratorium) of the Campus Exhibition of Ars Electronica Festival, in Linz, Austria

Since 2009, I am supervisor of mediale*, our annual work exhibition.

In 2008 I planned and supervised the construction of our 3D-Lab.

Before attending h_da in 2007, I worked as a senior research fellow in the Presenccia project at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

From 2002 to 2005, I was managing partner and technical director of Cybernarium, a Virtual and Augmented Reality exhibition.

Between 1996-2002, I was a researcher at Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research (IGD) with the department 'Virtual and Augmented Reality' where I received my doctoral degree (Dr. Ing.) in 2002.
